What the timeline has to show is a continuous qualifying year abroad falling inside the relevant preceding three years measured against the proposed assignment, together with the knowledge the role requires at the point the person would start. Assembling the specialized knowledge evidence typically takes longer than the adjudication itself, and requests for additional evidence are common in this category, so build a realistic margin. Confirm separately that the qualifying year of employment abroad with a related entity falls within the three years preceding the request, since that period is fixed by the calendar and can lapse while a project schedule slips.
