Make the examples interpretable
Explain the problem, the applicant’s design work and the resulting deliverable without disclosing material the applicant is not authorized to share. A short factual attribution is more useful than silently presenting the entire team output as individual work. The portfolio does not replace credential or employment records.
Carry proof of citizenship, the current employer support letter describing qualifying professional duties, credential documents, the most recent I-94 and admission record, and the receipt notice for whatever is pending. Build the TN file from authentic records: a signed offer or contract, an employer letter describing the actual professional services, proof of Canadian or Mexican citizenship, and evidence meeting the selected USMCA profession’s qualifications. TN admission is tied to the employment described, so a professional taking two part-time American positions needs a letter from each describing professional duties within the listed occupation, and an employer added after admission requires a fresh application rather than an explanation at the counter.
