Track the request and the response date
Keep the issuer’s response separate from the immigration authority’s deadline. A pending record request does not guarantee additional time, synchronized family processing or permission to travel as an immigrant. Use actual notices when planning next steps.
The current official page says the expedited process should take weeks after the application and processing fee are received, provided requested documents and fees are submitted promptly; a visa interview, admissibility and visa availability still apply. Nothing in the official material promises a processing time, and the route proceeds through EB-1 or EB-2 subject to visa availability, which is published in the Visa Bulletin and outside anyone's control. Use a written stage list based on the current official materials: application action, payment confirmation, vetting, any requested USCIS materials, and the subsequent immigration decision points. Where the official material describes processing measured in weeks, treat that as description rather than a promise, since approval and timing are never guaranteed. The actual outcome depends on the required submissions, vetting, eligibility, admissibility and visa availability, and general or promotional statements about processing are not an individual commitment.
