It should identify the credential, the institution and the assessment being provided. It cannot guarantee that the proposed job qualifies for TN.
Distinguish three different expenses
Separate the educational evaluation, any professional licensing work and immigration preparation or government fees. Degrees from institutions outside Canada, Mexico and the United States need a reliable evaluation. Confirm whether translations are included and avoid paying for a report whose subject does not match the profession being assessed.
Beyond legal review and any credential evaluation or translation, budget for documenting multiple work locations, and check separately whether a state licence or registration for geology practice carries its own application costs. Typical costs are certified copies from a civil registry, a replacement or confirmation letter from the institution that issued the credential, and certified translation where a document is not in English. The credentialing organisation charges separately for the health care worker certificate and for the credential review that supports it, and transcripts and licence verifications sent directly by institutions each carry a charge. Ask the evaluation provider, in writing, what specifically they will compare and against what standard, because evaluations are produced to different specifications and one prepared for a general purpose may not address the comparison actually needed.
